This number is from a "legal" collections department stemming from Great American Readers who offered Wal Mart gift cards of $100. They said during initial phone conversation that you could cancel subscription at any time but when you ask to cancel they say that you can't! Complete scam! Do not answer and DO NOT CALL BACK! They threaten to take you to court. Oh yeah, and I never received the Wal Mart gift card.
claimed to be collector on behalf of Bally total Fitness. Account was closed over 8 years ago. Indian accent. Called my HUSBANDS cell phone and wouldn't give him any information. just left him the 1-877-482-3965 to have me call.
Says he's from the IRS. Sounded like there were other callers in the background; heavy foreign accent. When called back, they answered "IRS." Said I owed $3,700 to the IRS and where was I 6 weeks ago when they tried reaching out to me. "We were out your door; where were you." Started hollaring. Mentioned coming to arrest me in 30 minutes. Still don't know who or what this is about but I'm pretty sure I don't owe the IRS any money.
says his name is Raymond. Says I owe money for IRS and they will hold my bank account, home & send my name to my employee. Says he will accept any kind of money. Whatever I have in my hand cash or Credit card. I let him talk and when I said I am going to call IRS and check on this phone # he gets quiet and hang up the phone on me. Beware!!!!
Called and requested my husband's cell phone number for an urgent situation. Had a HEAVY foreign accent, but told me his name was Bob Jones from the IRS. When I refused to give him the cell number, but offered to take a message he became rude and angry...asking if I was out of my mind.
